Laser cutting is a technology that is increasingly being used to proceed with the cutting of many types of materials. The laser cutting machine offers great advantages such as versatility, speed, and precision.

L.A.S.E.R. (acronym Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation) technology consists of a generator that emits a beam of light in a straight line, concentrating the energy in a very small spot.

Engraving and cutting are enabled by 3 main features:

  • consistency
  • monochromaticity
  • high brilliance , derived from the large power concentrated on a very small area.

Cutting is achieved by striking the material with a focused beam, concentrated in a beam half a millimetre in size: the resulting heating causes, depending on the material, either melting or vaporisation, which results in pass-through and cutting.

The laser beam penetrates the material, cuts it from a certain point following a geometry previously acquired by the machine.
